Despite taking the loss to Cameron Caffey about a month ago, Max Dean has earned the #1 ranking here at 197 pounds. Dean made his return from injury on Sunday for Penn State and is 15-1 on the season with wins over Jacob Warner, Patrick Brucki, Greg Bulsak, and Gavin Hoffman. Eric Schultz earned the #2 ranking here by running down Jacob Warner late in the third period on Sunday to win that match 3-2. Caffey had a slow start to his season but has come on strong to close out the regular season with wins over Dean and Bulsak to earn the #4 ranking here at 197 pounds. Everything else was pretty straightforward in this extremely deep conference weight class that contains 14 guys in the top 33 in the country.
