The 2025 SAC Softball Tournament kicks off this week with a brand new format that could spice up the postseason. The tournament will begin on April 25th with eight teams working to make their way to the championship series May 1- 3rd.

For the first time, the league’s postseason championship will see its opening-round games take place in a best-of-three series format on higher-seed campus sites, which gets going this weekend live and exclusively streamed on FloCollege.

College softball has finally arrived!

The game is changing for college sports fans. The new FloSports platform will package live stream events, sports data, rich editorial content and social programming to support teams and athletes across all divisions with a focus on DII and DIII programs. It will also boast the largest portfolio of women’s sports at the DII and DIII level available on any streaming platform today. FloCollege is scheduled to launch this October in advance of the winter sports season.

When the call was made for a South Atlantic Conference softball team to step up and be a conference champion last weekend, the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears answered the call.

The Lenoir-Rhyne Bears captured their first SAC Softball Championship title since 2013 as they swept Anderson with a 3-2 win.

Softball season has arrived and it kicks off this weekend with Division II teams competing at the 2024 Railsplitter Invitational streaming live on FloSoftball. SAC Softball is just around the corner and the Bulldogs are predicted to come out on top in 2024. Wingate has been picked as the 2024 South Atlantic Conference softball preseason favorites, the league office announced today. The Bulldogs received 11 first place votes and 143 points total.

Lincoln Memorial’s Sterre den Duijn was tabbed the 2023 South Atlantic Conference Championship MVP, as voted on by the participating head coaches, the conference announced Tuesday.

Lincoln Memorial softball earned their second consecutive South Atlantic Conference title at Wingate Thursday afternoon (May 4). The No. 3 Railsplitters defeated No. 1 Wingate in the best-of-three series.

Due to inclement weather, the opening-round games of the 2023 SAC Softball Championship, being held at Lenoir-Rhyne, that were scheduled for Thursday have been postponed.
