Lincoln Memorial’s Sterre den Duijn was tabbed the 2023 South Atlantic Conference Championship MVP, as voted on by the participating head coaches, the conference announced Tuesday. 

The panel also selected an 11-member All-Tournament team.

Den Duijn, a sophomore from Valkenswaard, Netherlands, earned the SAC Championship MVP Award after an outstanding performance in the best-of-three Championship Tournament. 

In Game 2 of the Series, she was 5-for-5 with three homeruns, a triple, four RBIs and four runs scored. She led the Railsplitters to a crucial win, forcing a tiebreaking game that ultimately led Lincoln Memorial to the tournament crown.

Lincoln Memorial led the way with four players named to the All-Tournament team, followed by Carson-Newman, Wingate and Catawba each with two and Lenoir-Rhyne with one.
