Andrew Alirez and Jesse Mendez won the last two NCAA titles at 141 lbs, and they. might be on a collision course for the 2025 NCAA finals. The top two 141-pounders both faced stiff competition on the opening weekend of NCAA action. Northern Colorado 2023 NCAA champ Andrew Alirez took on #11 Josh Edmond of Missouri while Ohio State 2024 NCAA champ Jesse Mendez ran into Lehigh All-American Luke Stanich in the Clarion Open finals. Both returning champs earned dominant victories to start the season.
