Returning NCAA champ David Carr has looked to turn it up into another gear this year. Carr is 16-0 on the season with 12 bonus-point victories and won his 50th consecutive match last week against Missouri. Jared Franek has also had a very strong season for North Dakota State as he is 17-2 on the season with his only loss in the Big 12 coming to Carr about a month ago. Wyatt Sheets was a difficult guy to rank in this weight class. Sheets is a returning All-American with wins over Justin Thomas, Jacob Wright, and Jarrett Jacques. The loss that really makes things difficult, though, is his loss to Derek Holschlag of UNI. We chose to value the significant wins that Sheets has this season over his bad loss and put him at the #3 ranking.
