It’s not often you get to see the number-one ranking in the nation decided at a state tournament, but that’s exactly what we could see this weekend in Altoona, PA at the PIAA AA Team State Championships. #1 Faith Christian Academy and #2 Bishop McCort will both have to win two duals before they see one another this weekend, with the winner in the final ultimately putting themselves in the driver’s seat to become the unofficial high school national team champions.

After 14 months of narrowing down a list of 80 college programs, 2024 U20 World bronze medalist Bo Bassett has finally made a decision on where the next stop will be in his wrestling career.

The 2025 PIAA Pennsylvania Team Wrestling State Championships are Feb. 7-8, in Altoona, Pa. While many great teams will be fighting their way to the championship matches, two powerhouse teams will highlight the tournament.

The 2024 U20 World Championships are going down in Ponte Vedre, Spain from September 2-8 and will feature international wrestling’s future stars. Team USA is sending a loaded squad in the men’s freestyle division that will take the mats in Spain from September 6-8. One of my favorite age-level tournaments of the year has arrived - the Junior World Team Trials. The nation’s best high school upperclassmen and college underclassmen will put it on the line for a chance to represent their country overseas.

The U23 Nationals and U20 World Team Trials brackets will be both massive (mostly the U23 ones) and stacked with some of the most talented and credentialed college wrestlers in the country.

With the NCAA season officially getting underway this week, many are looking forward to the early season collegiate open tournaments for a first look at their favorite college wrestlers. However, over the last several years we have also seen some of the nation’s top high school wrestlers throw their hat in the ring to see where they stack up against college competition. This weekend, we will see many high schoolers in action at both the Clarion and Southeast Open tournaments.

This year's U17 US Open is as deep as any tournament in recent memory. There aren't many top high schoolers who haven't registered, so wrestling fans should expect to see some of the best high school action of the year with a whole lot at stake. Here's what to expect at every weight.

On the Senior level, the US Open will set the stage for Final X, but there's plenty to watch at the U17 and U20 divisions as well. The U17 division will conclude with a best-of-three series that will decide the World Team, shake up the high school rankings, and establish some wrestlers' cases to be in Who's Number One. High Schoolers in the U20 division will compete against other elite peers but will also test themselves against guys who have been seasoned in college rooms for a year or two.

Powerade is a must-watch event on the national high school calendar, and this year's field is no exception. 50 top-20 ranked wrestlers will be in attendance along with a ton of talent ranked just outside the top 20. This year's field also includes 4 different #1 ranked wrestlers. Take a look at the top 8 seeds at each weight along with some other notable names who didn't earn seeds.

This year's Walsh Jesuit Ironman is absolutely loaded. Nearly 100 registered wrestlers are ranked in the top 20 in the country, and over half of those are ranked in the top 10. We'll see 7 #1s and 11 weights with possible top-five matchups. Below is a list of the pre-seeds along with everyone else who's registered at each weight. National rankings are included where applicable.

Every fall we see some of the best high schoolers in the country travel to Greensboro, N.C. to battle it out for a Super 32 belt. It seems every season that the brackets at Super 32 become deeper and deeper, with many ranked guys entered into each weight class. This weekend will be no different. Currently, there are over 160 guys ranked in the top 20 in their weight class entered for the 2022 Super 32.

There's nothing quite like Super 32. This year's field includes over 60% of the nation's 280 top-twenty-ranked wrestlers. That group includes eight of 14 #1's and six weights where the two highest-ranked wrestlers at the weight could square off for the number one spot.
