A native of Tempe, Arizona, Bartlett was a standout prep at Wyoming Seminary. During his time in high school Bartlett amassed an overall record of 177-8 and was a four time prep national champion. Bartlett won the Walsh Ironman in 2016 and Powerade titles in 2017 and 2019. Bartlett also won a title at the Pan American championships in 2018 and placed eighth at the US Senior open while he was still in high school.
