The Flo 40: High School Wrestling Team Rankings
Championship season is beginning to reshape the Flo 40 national high school wrestling team rankings.
State dual meet tournaments in New Jersey and Oklahoma triggered a shakeup inside near the top of the Flo 40.
St. Joseph Regional — which began the season ranked seventh and dipped to #37 in January after a series of setbacks — continued its late-season surge by knocking off then-#6 Delbarton 30-26 for the New Jersey dual title. The Green Knights vaulted up 12 notches to #11 in the latest edition of the Flo 40 while Delbarton dropped two spots to #8.
Another top in-state rivalry had national implications. Stillwater erased a 17-point deficit with pins in the final three matches to defeat Edmond North 33-32 in a top-15 clash in the finals of the Oklahoma state duals. It was the fifth time this season that the two Oklahoma powers battled in the same event and the fourth time Stillwater has come out ahead. They’ll battle again next week at the Oklahoma state individual tournament.
