2024-25 Dan Hodge Trophy Award Rankings

2025 Dan Hodge Trophy Rankings

It all comes down to next week! Technically there will be eight undefeated wrestlers going into the NCAA Championships. Parker Keckeisen did take a loss to Carter Starocci, but I did still include him because that loss does not go on his official record and if he wins in Philadelphia, he will be a Hodge finalist. Tyler Kasak and Meyer Shapiro will also be going to NCAAs without having been beaten, but both have an injury default loss on their record.

Gable Steveson is a clear #1 in my opinion after what he did to returning undefeated national champion Greg Kerkvliet. Carter Starocci moved ahead of Mitchell Mesenbrink after Mesenbrink suffered his first regular decision of the season to Mikey Caliendo and was taken down by Beau Mantanona at the Big Ten Championships. Despite Mesenbrink's better bonus numbers, Starocci has the edge when it comes to quality of competition and I give him a bump for choosing to toe the line in the All-Star Classic against an opponent who is also in these rankings.

Caleb Henson remains ahead of AJ Ferrari despite Ferrari having better bonus numbers because he wrestled at CKLV and beat NCAA finalist Ridge Lovett.
