The regular season is over, but we've still got plenty of upsets to catalog from week 17 of the 2024-25 NCAA D1 wrestling season!

We are rounding the home stretch of the 2024-25 NCAA D1 wrestling season, but that doesn't stop the upsets!

Dual meet season continues to roll along as we look back at another week of results and catalog all the upsets based on rankings that we could find. All the usual caveats apply. Results that technically qualify as upsets this week may not look like upsets at the end of the season or even a week from now.

The 2024 Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational is set to go down on December 6-7 and will be the best in-season tournament of the year. Pre-seeds are set to come out later today (December 3rd) and will give us a better idea of what brackets will look like and who will be entered. A new NCAA collegiate wrestling season brings with it new speculation on which true freshman will have breakout seasons.

The Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic, formerly the Dapper Dan, has a long-standing tradition of showcasing high school wrestling excellence. Every year, they pit the toughest Pennsylvania high school seniors against the highest-ranked national competitors they can find. This year's PA All-Star team includes 8 nationally ranked wrestlers, half of whom are ranked in the top ten in the country. Team USA? All 12 are ranked inside the top 7 in the country with three #1s and four #2s.

Kollin Rath, the #5 ranked wrestler in the country at 138 lbs, bumps up to take on #4 at 145 lbs Mac Church in a rematch of a 2022 PIAA semifinal.

Powerade is a must-watch event on the national high school calendar, and this year's field is no exception. 50 top-20 ranked wrestlers will be in attendance along with a ton of talent ranked just outside the top 20. This year's field also includes 4 different #1 ranked wrestlers. Take a look at the top 8 seeds at each weight along with some other notable names who didn't earn seeds.

This year's Walsh Jesuit Ironman is absolutely loaded. Nearly 100 registered wrestlers are ranked in the top 20 in the country, and over half of those are ranked in the top 10. We'll see 7 #1s and 11 weights with possible top-five matchups. Below is a list of the pre-seeds along with everyone else who's registered at each weight. National rankings are included where applicable.
