Originally a native of Tampa, FL, the Blair Academy product is currently ranked second in the nation at 113 pounds as of June 30th, 2021. McGowan has a long track record of success that goes all the way back to his time in youth wrestling. In 2016, McGowan won a NUWAY summer national title in both the elementary and middle school divisions. McGowan also won the Columbus Crusade open, and back to back titles at the Dixie Nationals American crown. To close out his youth career, McGowan won titles at the FAWA folkstyle and freestyle state championships and was a runner up in greco. McGowan also won double titles at the USAW Kids Nationals.
