Originally hailing out of Dagestan as a competitor for Russia, Magomed Ibragimov currently competes for Uzbekistan. While a competitor for Russia, Ibragimov was a bronze medalist at the 2009 Ivan Yariguin, silver medalist at the 2011 Ali Aliev, and a bronze medalist at the 2012 intercontinental cup. In 2013 Ibragimov won the intercontinental cup and Ramzan Kadyrov Cup. Ibragimov closed out his wrestling career with Russia finishing with a bronze medal at the Russion nationals.
