It's hard to overstate how much exciting college wrestling took place this past weekend. All seven conferences held their championships over the last few days and determined the majority of the qualifiers for the 2024 NCAA Championships that will take place in less than two weeks in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Big Ten, the nation's toughest and deepest college wrestling conference will hold their championship on Saturday and Sunday, March 9-10 in the Xfinity Center on the University of Maryland's College Park campus, and no we have the pressed for the tournament!

It's the second to last week of the regular season and the upsets are still popping off. Here's all we could find from the 16th week of the 2023-24 NCAA D1 college wrestling season.

The 125-pound class appears to be wide open following the graduation of three wrestlers who reached the NCAA tournament finals at least once. Most notable is Iowa’s three-time NCAA champion Spencer Lee who transcended the sport with his masterful top game and his ability to score points in bunches.

The 2023 NCAA Wrestling Championships will feature an insanely deep field with the best wrestlers in the country at every weight! Just how deep is this tournament? Of the 330 wrestlers in the field, there are 70 wrestlers competing who have earned All-American honors, 10 runner-ups, and 11 NCAA Champions. The 2023 Big Ten Wrestling Championships are set to go down March 4-5 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and will feature some of the nation's best wrestlers on their quest to NCAAs. We should get the "official" seeds for Big 10's in the next 7-10, and that gives us plenty of time to speculate and predict what they might be. It's the last big week of the NCAA season, and it should be a great one! We'll start off with the most anticipated match of the year between NCAA champions David Carr and Keegan O'Toole during an incredible Iowa State vs Missouri dual, we'll see Cornell vs Ohio State on Saturday, and we'll wrap up with a legacy dual between Oklahoma State and Iowa on Sunday.

We've reached the second-to-last week of D1 duals, but that hasn't slowed down the upset train! There were over 30 in this past week of collegiate action.

Iowa’s dual schedule doesn’t let up after a solid 27-9 win over Northwestern last weekend. The undefeated Hawkeyes face Nebraska at home on Friday, January 20 at 8 p.m. CT, and on the road against Wisconsin on Sunday, January 22 at 2 p.m. CT.
