Dan Gable wrestled at Iowa State and trained there while he was preparing for the 1972 Olympics. The Iowa Hawkeyes knew how valuable Gable would be for their program and they used Jon Marks as a spy while trying to steal Gable from the cross-state rival. And it worked.
