Originally from Southern California, Anthony Valencia is an NCAA wrestler for the Arizona State Sun Devils. Anthony wrestled for St. John Bosco High School and trained at the infamous Monster Garage with the likes of Aaron Pico. He is the older brother of two-time NCAA champion Zahid Valencia, who also wrestled at Arizona State. Anthony made the 2014 USA Junior World Team and has competed at the senior level in freestyle wrestling since November of 2014.

Deakin is a beast. He’s one of those guys who looks huge for every single weight that he competes in. The fact that he has a junior world silver medal at 66kg is beyond comprehension, and it is needless to say that he was enormous for that weight class. When he made the jump to 157lbs in college I thought that he might be giving up some size, and that was definitely not the case.
