Illinois State softball is set to compete in the 2025 Puerto Vallarta College Challenge on Feb. 13-15.
This will be the first time in the Cardinals' program history that they are participating in the tournament and are part of the five-team second session portion of the challenge.

Last season, Illinois State finished with an overall record of 23-31, losing in the title game of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament to Southern Illinois, which then advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
Illinois State will play four games in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge, and its first game is against North Dakota State.

- 4 p.m. – BYU vs. Illinois State
Feb. 14
- 10 a.m. – Florida International vs. Illinois State
- 3 p.m. – Illinois State vs. Indiana
Feb. 15
- 10 a.m. – Illinois State vs. North Dakota State
