The Illinois State Redbirds have struggled with consistency in recent history. Two great seasons highlighted by 30-plus wins in 2021 and 2023 are at the forefront of the Redbirds success. But two seasons of tough matches and losing records in 2022 and 2024 have also highlighted the Redbirds struggles.

This February, ten college softball teams will head to Puerto Vallarta in Mexico to play in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge for two weeks of intense action to kick start the 2025 season.

The 10-team field for the 2025 Puerto Vallarta College Classic has been released. Florida State Softball, BYU, Boise, Indiana, Oklahoma State, and more to head to Mexico this February.
