This February, ten college softball teams will head to Puerto Vallarta in Mexico to play in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge for two weeks of intense action to kick start the 2025 season.

Preseason ranked teams Oklahoma State softball and Florida State will begin play in Session 1 against Louisiana Tech and Northern Colorado. The OSU Cowgirls will be looking to continue their recent success, making it to the Women's College World Series each season since 2019.

Florida State is one of the top teams in the US, with two recent visits to the WCWS Championship finals. They nearly made it all the way to the national title but lost to Oklahoma in both 2021 and 2023.

In Session 2, BYU and Boise State headline the second group of games in the middle of February. 

Boise State's softball team has been a force to be reckoned with in the Mountain West, 2025 could be their year to win another conference championship and extend their postseason run into the NCAA tournament—and it all begins in Puerto Vallarta.

When Is The Puerto Vallarta Softball Tournament?

Session 1 for PVCC will take place February 6-9th followed by Session 2 from February 13-16th.
