Lenoir-Rhyne Wins SAC Women's Soccer Regular-Season Title
Lenoir-Rhyne finished the 2022 season with a record of 9-0-2 and 29 points in the conference to earn the 2022 SAC Women’s Soccer regular-season title.
The Lenoir-Rhyne Bears finished the 2022 regular season with a record of 9-0-2 and 29 points in the conference to earn the 2022 South Atlantic Conference Women’s Soccer regular-season title.
The Bears will be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming SAC Women’s Soccer Championship.
Catawba earned the No. 2 seed with an 8-1-2 record and 26 points. Carson-Newman finished the regular season with a 7-2-2 record and 23 points, giving the Eagles the No. 3 seed.
Anderson finished the regular season with a record of 6-2-3 and 21 points, which gives the Trojans the No. 4 seed in the championship.
Limestone slid into the No. 5 seed with a record 6-3-2 in SAC play and 20 points, while Wingate took the No. 6 seed with a record of 4-3-4 and 16 points.
Rounding out the field for the championship are Tusculum at No. 7 and Newberry at No. 8. The Pioneers finished the year with a record of 3-3-5 and 14 points, while the Wolves are 4-7 with 12 points.
The 2022 SAC Women's Soccer Championship quarterfinals will be played at campus sites on Saturday, before moving to American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, for the semifinals and finals on Nov. 4 and 6.
The SAC Tournament champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament.
