Things actually went oddly close to chalk in Coralville. Isaiah Martinez had people shocked when he was down 9-0 to Devin Skatzka, but fell back on his inside trip and picked up the pin. Colton Camacho had Drake Ayala on the ropes after locking up a trap arm gut, but Ayala used his pace to storm back. However, these seven matches still surprised us.
Anthony Cassioppi over Dom Bradley
It was youth over experience in this one.
Hunter Adrian over Jesse Ybarra
Brown sophomore Hunter Adrian took out the Hawkeye in his own city.
Josh Kramer over Nahshon Garrett
Nahshon looked a little shaky in his first match, but then teched Ethan Lizak 10-0, so it looked like he was on track. Kramer put a stop to that in a wild one 13-13.
Jaden Le over Joey Zargo
Zargo was the #11 commit coming out of his class and has spent the past year training in the Wisconsin wrestling room, but it was all Jaden Le in this one.

NC State commit Derek Fields didn’t care that Chase Saldate placed fourth at the Big Ten Championships and a national qualifier this season.
Wyatt Henson over Chris Cannon
Maybe this wasn’t such a big upset, but rather just proves that Henson is ready for the D1 level. Similar to the match above, Cannon took fourth at Big Tens this year.
Kaleb Larkin over Josh Saunders
As I mentioned in the preview, Saunders can be prone to up and down performances. Not too many people saw this one coming, however.
