The PIAA Championships had half the normal field, bout there was still no shortage of incredible matches. While the list of amazing bouts in Hershey is long, these 11 matches will help get you caught up on some of the best action of the weekend.
1) #3 Wyatt Henson vs Dagen Condomitti
In perhaps the best match of the quarterfinals, Dagen Condomitti threw everything he had at #3 Wyatt Henson. Points flew up on the board, and Henson needed an incredible third period and overtime to get the win.
2) #16 Rune Lawrence vs Malachi Duvall
These two seem to only have wild matches, and their state final was no exception. This match took some unexpected turns and was incredible from start to finish.
3) #7 Rocco Welsh vs Jared Keslar
Both Welsh and Keslar were locked in for this semi, and each guy had some pretty heroic moments. Strap in for this thrill ride.
4) #17 Avery Bassett vs #16 Holden Garcia
This nationally ranked PIAA semi was razor thin and couldn't be settled in regular time. You're going to want to see this one.
5) #4 Jagger Condomitti vs Jack McGill
In Super Regionals, Condomitti controlled this one, but Jack McGill nearly had this one in the bag. Condomitti's unlikely comeback was something to behold.
6) #9 Brett Ungar vs #8 Gary Steen
These two met in the PIAA semis for the second year in a row. Points were hard to come by, but the final sequence was incredible.
7) #12 Nate Schon vs Sean Kinney
Schon and Kinney closed out PIAAs with a bang. Kinney made it a match late, and the overtime takedown at the end had the entire Giant Center holding its breath.
8) #9 Brett Ungar vs #5 Mason Gibson
One of the toughest weights had one of the most dramatic conclusions. The first meeting between Ungar and Gibson was insane.
9) #19 AJ Corrado vs #17 Avery Bassett
These guys saved the best action for the end when a super tight bout finished with a massive move.
10) #10 Luca Augustine vs #6 Trey Kibe
Kibe got the better of Augustine at Super Regionals, but Augustine's new game plan tightened this match up and created a dramatic finish.
11) Zachary Jacaruso, Delaware Valley vs #7 Vincent Kilkeary, Greater Latrobe
This one didn't have the best wrestling, but it did become one of the most widely discussed matches of the weekend. Find out why people were buzzing about Kilkeary and Jacaruso's semi.
