Over 400 teams from 12U-18U will converge at Triple Crown Sports' Zoom Into June Invitational from Friday-Sunday in and around Hemet, Calif.

Many of the top college coaches will be scouting for prospects because the showcase features many of the top club teams in the nation, including No. 2 So Cal Athletics-Richardson, No. 5 Firecrackers-Rico, No. 6 Corona Angels-Tyson, No. 11 Sorcerer 18G, No. 13 East Cobb Bullets Gold-Schnute and No. 21 So Cal Choppers-Fausett.



"Out of these big showcases," LSU-bound infielder Amanda Doyle of So Cal Choppers-Fausett said, "we get good competition and we get a feel for what we will see this summer and what we have to compete with in Nationals."

There's no tournament title on the line at Zoom Into June, but that doesn't mean there won't be fierce competition.

"Well, from now until PGF Nationals, we are trying to prepare to win a national championship," UCLA-bound outfielder Aaliyah Jordan of Corona Angels-Tyson said. "No matter if it's a friendly, tournament or showcase, every game matters to us. We want to get better every game and practice, even if it's only 1 percent better, every minute counts. With this being a showcase, I'm hoping that as an organization we do well showing these college coaches that the Corona Angels produce some of the best college athletes in the country."

California is a hotbed for softball talent, so the out-of-state teams get a good taste of that high-level competition at Zoom Into June.



"Personally, I try to further my game with the competitiveness of the other teams and keep improving my game by coming to California for this tournament," Michigan-bound infelder Madison Uden of Arizona Athletics said. "California provides a lot of great competition and allows myself and my team to get ready for the next level."

The 18U teams will be playing at Diamond Valley Park in Hemet, Winchester Park in Winchester, Noble Creek in Beaumont and Big League Dreams Sports Park in Cathedral City.

One of the big events at Zoom Into June is the unsigned senior workout on Friday from 6-9 p.m. at Diamond Valley Park. OnDeck Softball's invitation-only June Jamboree will be held on Friday from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. at Diamond Valley Park.
