What better way to open the 2025 College Basketball Invitational than with a great energy and close game between Incarnate Word basketball and Manhattan?
The Cardinals played a solid all-around game, and their scoring led to the win. Four of the five starters were in double figures, including two 20-point scorers from Dylan Hayman and Jordan Pyke. Incarnate Word shot an exceptional 56 percent from the field.

Manhattan basketball played a winnable game on their end but couldn't get the stops when needed as the Cardinals began to take off from them midway through the second half.
Incarnate Word will play Jacksonville in the second round of the College Basketball Invitational on FloCollege at noon ET on March 24.
