Army Vs. Elon Basketball | CBI First Round Preview
The 2025 College Basketball Invitational is here, and here's a preview of Elon and Army before the game begins.
Elon and Army men's basketball teams will play one another on March 23 in the first round of the 2025 College Basketball Invitational as the quest for a CBI title gets underway.
CAA member Elon men's basketball is coming into the CBI with a 17-15 record, including its biggest win on the road, when it defeated the eventual conference champions, UNC Wilmington, 81-70, on Feb. 15.

In that game, TK Simpkins, the team's leading scorer, scored 32 points, leading the Phoenix to victory.
The team also gained a win over ACC opponent Notre Dame in late November, 84-77.
Army also defeated its conference champion, American, on the road with a 76-69 win on Feb. 19, even with leading scorer senior guard Jalen Rucker having an off game. Sophomore guard Ryan Curry had one of, if not his best, games of the season with 25 points.
