For the opening game of the 2025 College Basketball Invitational, Manhattan and Incarnate Word men's basketball is set for noon ET on March 23.

Mid-major teams love competing in the CBI tournament, as it provides them with an opportunity to win a postseason title after missing out on the madness of the NCAA tournament.

Incarnate Word, a member of the Southland Conference, went 17-16 on the year. The team's best win came over Schreiner on Dec. 19, a 101-57 victory, which was big because the Mountaineers were 7-1 coming into the game.

Graduate Student Davion Bailey led the attack with 33 points and has been the leader for the Cardinals all season, averaging nearly 17 points per game.

Manhattan men's basketball had its biggest win against MAAC conference opponent Merrimack on Feb. 14. They were sitting at the top of the conference after a late 18-2 run to end the game.

Will Sydnor, the team's leading scorer, pitched 19 points on 9-16 shooting in that game with 10 rebounds.
