As the 2025 College Basketball Invitational begins on March 23 at the Ocean Center in Dayton Beach, Fla., and multiple first-round matchups include even teams.
One of those games is between Elon men's basketball, representing the CAA and Army from the Patriot League.

Both teams had similar records, with Elon finishing the regular season and conference tournaments at 17-15 and the Black Knights finishing 16-15.
Elon lost to Drexel in the quarterfinals of the CAA tournament, ending its hopes of making the NCAA tournament. Army also lost in the quarterfinals, getting blown out by Colgate.
The winner of this game has a date with Florida Gulf Coast in the quarterfinals, who were among the three teams to receive a first-round bye.
