A ticket to the big dance is on the line in the CAA as Delaware and UNC Wilmington compete in the conference championship game.

UNC Wilmington men's basketball defeated Delaware 76-72 in the championship game to become the 2024-2025 CAA champions and end the Cinderella run of the No. 12 Fightin' Blue Hens.

At the beginning of the game, the Seahawks were in control for the most part until the underdog started to fight back. For a second, it felt like Delaware was going to pull off another upset and punch its ticket to the big dance.

However, after Donovan Newby and Noah Ross made big shots down the stretch to put the game out of reach and collect an automatic bid.

This was UNC Wilmington's seventh CAA championship in program history, the most in conference history.

UNCW has played well all season, and given their resiliency in the semifinals against Charleston and the championship game against Delaware; they may use it a couple more times as they hope to cause multiple upsets.
