Here's Who Made The NCAA Basketball Tournament From The CCAA In 2025

Brackets have been announced for the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Championship and 2025 NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship, giving 64 teams a chance to extend their postseason runs and aim for a NCAA title.

Three men's teams and three women's teams will represent the California Collegiate Athletic Association at this year's tournaments, including No. 3-ranked Cal State Dominguez Hills women's and No. 18 Cal State Dominguez Hills men's.

The double CCAA Tournament champions Dominguez Hills women's and men's will start their tournament battles on March 14 and 15 respectively.

The Toros will be joined by No. 19 Chico State men's, Cal State San Bernardino men's, No. 16 Cal Poly Pomona women's and Chico State women's.

With six teams from the CCAA preparing for a deep postseason run, here's what to know about who advanced to the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament from the CCAA in 2025.

Who Advanced To The NCAA DII Men's Basketball Tournament From The CCAA In 2025?

The CCAA had three men's teams advance to the NCAA DII Basketball Tournament, including No. 18 Cal State Dominguez Hills, No. 19 Chico State and Cal State San Bernardino.

Dominguez Hills is fresh off its 74-68 win against Chico State at the CCAA Tournament, with a 25-5 record.

Chico State gained a bid with its championship appearance, with a 24-6 record.

Cal State San Bernardino gained a bid after winning six of its last eight games, with a 22-11 record.

Who Advanced To The NCAA DII Women's Basketball Tournament From The CCAA In 2025?

The CCAA had three women's teams advance to the NCAA DII Basketball Tournament, including No. 3 Cal State Dominguez Hills, No. 16 Cal Poly Pomona and Chico State.

Dominguez Hills is fresh off its 77-54 win against Cal Poly Pomona at the CCAA Tournament, with a stellar 31-1 record.

Cal Poly Pomona earned a bid with its championship appearance, with a 25-5 record.

Chico State earned a bid with its third-place standing in the CCAA and win over Cal State LA, with a 23-7 record.

Who Won The CCAA Men's Basketball Tournament In 2025?

No. 1 Cal State Dominguez Hills won the CCAA Men's Tournament, beating No. 2 Chico State 74-68.

The Toros finished the season with a 25-5 overall record, claiming their first CCAA Tournament Championship title since 2011.

It was the Toros' first time winning the regular and postseason since 1987.

To add, both the men's and women's Cal State Dominguez Hills basketball teams won their tournaments this year.

Who Won The CCAA Women's Basketball Tournament In 2025?

No. 1 Cal State Dominguez Hills won the CCAA Women's Tournament, beating No. 2 Cal Poly Pomona 77-54.

The Toros finished the season with a 32-1 overall record, becoming the regular and postseason champions for the first time since 2015.

When Does the 2025 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Tournament Start?

The tournament begins on March 15 with the first round regional games. The quarterfinals are March 25, the Final Four begins on March 27 and the National Championship, streaming on CBS, is March 29. 

When Does the 2025 NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Tournament Start?

The tournament begins on March 14 with the first round regional games. The quarterfinals are March 24, the Final Four begins on March 26 and the National Championship is March 28 on ESPN+.
