The California Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's & Women's Basketball Tournament finals finished on March 8 in San Marcos, Calif.

Six men's and six women's basketball teams faced off at the Sports Center, looking to win the CCAA Championship and continue their postseason at the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.

Cal State Dominguez Hills had a dominant basketball season, with both the men's and women's teams entering their tournaments seeded at No. 1.

Despite some pushback from the No. 4 and No. 5 teams in the semifinals, and battles against the No. 2 teams in the finals, Cal State Dominguez Hills' men's and women's basketball teams came out on top.

With the finals over and titles claimed, here’s what to know about the 2025 CCAA Basketball Tournament Champions. 

CCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Champions 2025

No. 1 Cal State Dominguez Hills won the CCAA Men's Tournament, beating No. 2 Chico State 74-68.

The Toros finished the season with a 25-5 overall record, claiming their first CCAA Tournament Championship title since 2011.

It was the Toros' first time winning the regular and postseason since 1987.

To add, both the men's and women's Cal State Dominguez Hills basketball teams won their tournaments this year.

CCAA Women's Basketball Tournament Champions 2025

No. 1 Cal State Dominguez Hills won the CCAA Women's Tournament, beating No. 2 Cal Poly Pomona 77-54.

The Toros finished the season with a 32-1 overall record, becoming the regular and postseason champions for the first time since 2015.

The selection show for women is 10:30 p.m. ET on March 9. It is streaming at NCAA.com. 

When Does the 2025 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Tournament Start?

The tournament begins on March 15 with the first round regional games. The quarterfinals are March 25, the Final Four begins on March 27 and the National Championship, streaming on CBS, is March 29. 

When Does the 2025 NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Tournament Start?

The tournament begins on March 14 with the first round regional games. The quarterfinals are March 24, the Final Four begins on March 26 and the National Championship is March 28 on ESPN+.
