NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Rankings: Boston College Leading The Pack
With the regular season ending and conference tournaments beginning, check out how the biggest teams in college hockey did last week.

As the conference championships come up, college hockey teams separate themselves as the best teams in the country, including Boston College who remains No. 1 in the latest NCAA Division I College Hockey rankings.
UConn and Boston University competed in a huge ranked matchup and tied at 2-2, but both remained in the rankings.
There were plenty of other games among ranked teams that played a great factor in who won regular-season conference titles. Here's what to know about where everyone stands in the most recent polling released by USCHO.com.
Boston College Stays At No. 1
- With a win and a tie facing off against New Hampshire, which received votes last week, the Eagles are still the No. 1 team with a 25-6-2 record.
- If Boston College can continue to play great hockey, it could win the conference tournament and its first national championship since 2012.
- The Eagles will begin its conference tournament against Merrimack at home this Saturday.
Michigan State Overtakes Minnesota For No. 2 Spot
- The Spartans clinched their second straight Big Ten regular season title when they defeated Notre Dame 5-2 in both games this past weekend for a share of the conference.
- Minnesota is the other team to win a share of the Big Ten. It could have potentially won an outright title, but it split games between Penn State, losing in overtime on Friday and winning 5-3 on Saturday.
- Due to Michigan State Hockey owning the tiebreaker, they earned the top seed and a bye to the quarterfinals in the Big Ten tournament. They hope to win the conference completely.
Cornell Drops From The Rankings
- Cornell is no longer in the rankings after losing to Union on the road, 4-1, in the second-to-last game of the regular season.
- The loss by the Big Red opened the door for Holy Cross to slide in, and they are now tied for the No. 20 spot with Colorado College.
- Both teams are set to begin their conference tournaments before the NCAA Tournament selection show on March 23rd.
