For the first time in four weeks, the No. 1 team remained the same for consecutive weeks, as Texas women's basketball gained two dominant conference wins to not only keep the top spot but also win a share of the SEC title.

South Carolina women's basketball would be the other team to win a share of the conference title after avoiding an upset against Kentucky.

NC State and Notre Dame women's basketball also shared a conference regular season title for the ACC after the Fighting Irish lost earlier in the week to Florida State.

No. 1 Seed In SEC Tournament Decided By Coin Flip

  • Once Texas and South Carolina handled business on Sunday, they were tied for the first place in the SEC standings.
  • Due to both teams splitting the two games between each other, the No. 1 seed in the SEC tournament was determined by a coin flip by conference commissioner Greg Sankey.
  • Defending champion South Carolina got the nod for the conference tournament for the No. 1 seed.

USC Defeat UCLA Women's Basketball For The Second Time

  • After an all-time performance from JuJu Watkins in the first matchup between the California battle of USC and UCLA, the two teams faced off this past weekend.
  • This time, the Bruins had the home court, but it did not matter, as USC women's basketball won to win the Big Ten regular season title and finish the year ranked No. 2.
  • The Trojans will look to win the conference title this weekend, but they will need to win only three games to do so.

UConn Finish The Season At No. 3

  • The Huskies took home the Big East title with two blowout wins over Creighton and Marquette.
  • They also moved up two spots from No. 5 to No.3 due to losses from UCLA and Notre Dame.
  • Combined with the significant victory over South Carolina in February, UConn women's basketball is heading into conference tournaments and, eventually, the NCAA tournament with arguably the most momentum.
