103: Juliana Alejandro (Tiffin) vs #12 Mia Zuniga (King)
King doesn’t have its best post-season lineup due to injury and redshirts. Still, the Tornado has powerful individuals that can rip through the field. Zuniga has a tough opening match against Juliana Alejandro, whom she defeated 7-4 on Dec. 6, 2024. This could be competitive, and a win for King is important for the team race.
103: Olivia Klein (East Stroudsburg) vs Madison Heinzer (Colorado Mesa)
Klein has one loss at 103 this season and didn’t get seeded. She has a tough test against Heinzer.
110: #3 Samara Chavez (King) vs Kat Pendergrass (Gannon)
Chavez has the tools to reach the finals after finishing 3-2-3 at the past three national championships. She’ll have to get by Pendergrass, a two-time All-American, in the first round to win her first title.
110: Samantha Miller (McKendree) vs #4 Kendra Ryan (North Central)
Miller and Ryan met twice at the 2024 National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships. Ryan, a three-time All-American (6-5-4), won by 10-0 tech in the quarters, and Miller (6-5-5-3), a four-time All-American, won by fall for third. Ryan pinned Miller on Nov. 9, 2024, to start the season.
117: Nohea Moniz (Sacred Heart) vs #2 Yu Sakamoto (Northern Michigan)
Moniz pinned Sakamoto on Nov. 9 during a dual, handing her the only loss this season. Sakamoto, a 2024 U23 World champion for Japan, faces Moniz in the first round.
131: #4 Jaclyn Dehney (New England) vs Lily Sherer (Lock Haven)
Dehney is 28-0 with two forfeits and 26 pins (25 in the first period). She faces Sherer, a 2023 All-American.
131: Hannah Palise (Grand Valley State) vs #8 Anna Dicugno (King)
Grand Valley State and King are battling for a trophy, so this match has implications for both teams.
131: Zoe Gress (East Stroudsburg) vs #6 Emmily Patneaud (Iowa)
Patneaud faces Gress, a two-time All-American, in her opening match.
145: #9 Erica Schroeder (Colorado Mesa) vs Skylar Little Soldier (Grand Valley State)

180: #5 Brittyn Corbishley (North Central) vs Jacklyn Smith (Sacred Heart)
Corbishley has a tall task against Smith, a two-time All-American. North Central is in the trophy hunt; this is important for both teams.
