LSU baseball takes on Dallas Baptist in a mid-week matchup that might've flown under the radar with all the pomp and ceremony the past two weeks at Globe Life Field.

As part of the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series, the Tigers, who move up to No. 2 in D1Basbeall's rankings this week, will head to Arlington to take on No. 19 Dallas Baptist Patriots in a one-off clash of top 25 programs. 

Both teams come into the matchup with nearly identical records, with LSU at 7-1 and DBU at 6-1, and both programs' losses came recently, with LSU losing to Omaha and DBU's sole loss coming against UTRGV.

Players to watch for the Tigers include first baseman Jared Jones and second baseman Daniel Dickinson, both were D1Baseball preseason All-Americans. For the Patriots, keep an eye on DH Grant Jay, who also appeared on D1Baseball's preseason All-Americans list. Jay is slugging 1.190 through seven games.
