Arkansas baseball closed out the weekend with a win over Michigan in the 2025 Amegy Bank College Baseball Series after defeating the Wolverines 8-6 on Feb. 23.

Coming into the game, the Wolverines wondered if they would be able to score any runs outside of the first two innings. In this game, the answer was yes.

However, it was too late. Michigan was down by as many as seven runs, losing 8-1, going into the top of the sixth inning.

With that said Arkansas was clicking on all cylinders out the gate, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first inning and collecting four more runs in the second and third of singles before Wehiwa Aloy hit a solo home run in the fifth inning to give the Razorbacks eight runs on the day.

After it looked like the game was over, Michigan would get back-to-back solo homers from Cole Caruso and Robert Hamchuk in the sixth, followed by a sacrifice fly by Jonathan Kim in the eighth inning.

Lastly, in the ninth, the Wolverines made a last-ditch effort with two more runs driven in by Hamchuk. The team had Will Rogers coming up to the plate as the potential leading run, but instead, he ground out to end the game.

Michigan finishes the weekend winless at Globe Life Field, losing to TCU, Kansas State, and Arkansas. They will travel to Long Beach next week for a series against Long Beach State.

Arkansas is 2-1 at Globe Life Field after losing to Kansas State on the first night but then winning against TCU and Michigan. The Razorbacks will travel back home for a one-game series against Grambling before a three-game weekend series against Charlotte.
