UCLA softball secured a comeback victory over the Tennessee Lady Vols at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic 2025, overcoming an early 3-0 deficit to win 4-3. The Bruins and Vols were the No. 4 and No. 7 teams, respectively, heading into the game.

After Tennessee's strong start, getting three early runs off of UCLA's Addisen Fisher, Fisher and Kaitlyn Terry combined to shut out the Volunteers for the remainder of the game.

The Bruins' offense came alive in the fifth inning, with Aleena Garcia scoring their first run, followed by Jordan Woolery's decisive three-run homer.

Woolery's blast proved to be the game-winner, as UCLA held on to defeat Tennessee and claim a significant win in the tournament that should pay dividends as the team aims for the Women's College World Series.
