The Northwestern Wildcats have made an NCAA Tournament appearance in 18 different seasons since 2000, coming into 2025 with four consecutive appearances.

Northwestern Softball won the Big Ten Conference Tournament championship in 2023, then followed up with a dominant 2024 season that ended in the NCAA Regionals with a loss to then-No. 1 Texas.

Northwester Softball will look for a repeat of its successes in order to claim a fifth NCAA Tournament birth in a row. The Wildcats will face an early-season test of strength at the 2025 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.

The 2025 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic hits the fields on Feb. 20-23 in Cathedral City, Calif., with Northwestern Softball's first match on Friday, Feb. 21.

The Northwestern Wildcats had an iffy start to their last season, going 2-2 in the 2024 Mary Nutter. One of those losses was a one-point loss to then-No. 19 UCLA.

As it looks to capitalize on past success and lengthen the NCAA Tournament appearance streak to five, here's everything to know about Northwestern Softball at the 2025 Mary Nutter Classic.

When Is The 2025 Mary Nutter Softball Tournament?

The 2025 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic will take place Feb. 20-23. Games begin Thursday, with the final games played on Sunday.

The Mary Nutter Classic returns to the Big League Dreams Complex in Cathedral City, California. Teams will play across the complex's five fields.
