All of the Oregon home runs belonged to underclassmen, with freshman Rylee McCoy hitting two and knocking in four runs.
The barrage began with freshman Emma Cox, who kicked things off with a two-run homer to left field in the second inning.
Sophomore Katie Flannery got in on the fun later in the frame, adding a two-out solo home run to increase the Oregon lead to 3-0 through two innings.
A two-out rally in the third included back-to-back home runs from McCoy and fellow freshman Steffini Ma'ake to extend the lead to 5-0.
McCoy hit another bomb, this time a three-run job in the seventh inning, to cap the Oregon scoring.
The Oregon offense provided 11 runs on seven hits and did not leave any runners on base. McCoy and Flannery each had two hits for the Ducks.
Junior right-hander Lyndsey Grein did the majority of the heavy lifting for the Oregon pitching staff and picked up the win, tossing 4 2/3 innings of one-hit, no-run ball. She walked four and struck out eight to bring her strikeout total for the weekend to 24. She’s now 9-0 on the season.
Redshirt junior Elise Sokolsky got the start but lasted just 2 1/3 innings. She left the game after giving up a three-run home run to Missouri senior Kara Daly.
Sokolsky pitched 2 1/3 innings, giving up three runs on four hits, while striking out five and walking two.
In the loss, Missouri managed three runs on five hits and saw seven runners stranded on the basepaths. None of the Tigers had more than one hit in the game.
Missouri sent three pitchers into the circle, with starter Cierra Harrison, a junior right-hander, taking the loss. She went 2 2/3 innings with six runs (four earned) on four hits, while striking out 2 and walking one. She falls to 3-3 on the year.
Up next for Missouri will be the Shocker Invite in Wichita, Kansas, and the Tigers will be back in action Friday against No. 13 Oklahoma State.
Oregon will head home to Eugene, Oregon, to host the Oregon Classic, and the Ducks’ next game will be Friday against San Diego.

About Oregon Softball
Oregon softball is on the rise, though it may be a slow climb, with the Ducks moving up one spot over the first two editions of the ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll this season.
The Ducks opened the 2025 season with five wins at the UNLV Desert Classic in Las Vegas but kicked off the Littlewood Classic in Tempe, Arizona, with a loss to unranked Arizona State. However, Oregon bounced back to end the event with another five consecutive wins and a 10-1 record overall.
Oregon will play five games at the 2025 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, taking on California, Tennessee, Utah, San Diego State and Missouri.
At last year’s Mary Nutter, the Ducks were 3-2. The season overall ended with a 30-21 record and a trip to the NCAA Norman Regional.

About Missouri Softball
A 6-5 start to the season certainly would explain how Missouri fell from No. 16 to No. 22 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll this week, which doesn’t sound all that bad – except for the fact that there are 11 SEC teams ahead of the Tigers in the rankings.
That’s right, 13 of the 15 SEC teams are in the top 25, with the other two receiving votes.
Among Missouri’s wins this season are victories over ranked Northwestern and Duke, while the Mary Nutter will bring on contests against No. 4 UCLA and No. 19 Oregon, along with games against Rutgers, Baylor and Minnesota.
Last year, Missouri was 48-18 overall and 13-11 in conference play, which landed the Tigers in fifth place in the SEC standings. Their season ended against Duke in the NCAA Columbia Super Regional.
At the 2024 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, Missouri was 3-2.
