Arkansas Beats Loyola Marymount 6-2 At Mary Nutter, Still Perfect In 2025
Arkansas remains perfect in 2025 with a 6-2 victory over Loyola Marymount on Friday at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. The Razorbacks are 13-0.

The Arkansas softball team is on a torrid pace to start the 2025 season, and the Razorbacks picked up another win Friday night at the 2025 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Cathedral City, California, defeating Loyola Marymount 6-2.
It was the 13th consecutive win for undefeated Arkansas (13-0), but it did end a streak of seven straight run-rule victories. This rule comes into effect when a team is up by eight or more runs after at least five innings.
The Razorbacks kicked of their 2025 Mary Nutter campaign Thursday with wins over Rutgers (10-0) and Cal State Fullerton (10-0). Both games ended after five innings.

Arkansas held a 1-0 advantage over a stalled LMU offense through three innings, before adding runs in each of the last four innings. The early lead was the result of a couple of walks and a wild pitch in the top of the first.
The onslaught in the second half of the contest included home runs by senior Courtney Day – a two-run shot in the fifth inning – and a solo blast from sophomore Kennedy Miller to start the Razorbacks’ half of the seventh inning.
Arkansas scored six runs on eight hits, but also left 10 runners on base.
Freshman right-hander handled this for the Razorbacks in the circle, holding the Lions at bay until the Arkansas bats could get something going.
Harrison went five innings, giving up no runs and just two hits, while striking out two and walking none. She earned the win and now is 2-0 on the year.
She was replaced by junior right-hander Reis Beuerlein, who pitched the final two innings and was able to escape a final-inning rally from LMU.
The Lions picked up three of their five hits during their final time up, plating two runs to narrow the deficit, before falling short. Five LMU players each had one hit in the game.
Junior Lindsay O’Dell pitched the entire game for the Lions, giving up eight hits and five earned runs, while walking six, hitting one and striking out three.
O’Dell falls to 1-5 on the season, and LMU sinks to 3-9 in 2025.
The 2025 edition of the Mary Nutter is taking place at the Big League Dreams Complex from Feb. 20-23.
The park includes five fields modeled after some of the most historic venues in Major League Baseball. Among them, Boston’s Fenway Park, Chicago’s Wrigley Field and New York’s Yankee Stadium.
The 2025 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic includes 31 teams, headlined by Tennessee, Nebraska and Utah.
The Razorbacks arrived in California this week with a 10-0 record and ranked No. 10 in the latest ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25.
They’ll wrap up their time at the event with a pair of games Saturday, taking on Baylor at 1 p.m. Eastern and No. 4 UCLA at 6 p.m. EST.
The meeting with Arkansas was the first of five games for LMU at this year’s Mary Nutter. The Lions will play two games Saturday (California and San Jose State) and two games Sunday (Hawai’i and Howard).
