Oregon State baseball defeated Xavier in the 2025 College Baseball Classic finale by 12 runs.

The Beavers started the game strong as the bats were hot from the beginning, scoring 10 out of the 18 runs in the first two innings.

Although it is very early in the season, Jacob Krieg came into the game, batting only .182. However, after today, expect that to skyrocket as the first basemen hit a grand slam in the first inning to take the lead 5-0 after the first run was scored off a bases-loaded walk.

Krieg would later homer again in the fifth inning as he was responsible for seven RBIs.

Despite giving up two runs in the second inning, starting pitcher Kellan Oakes had a great outing, pitching four innings and striking out four batters on 65 pitches.

Xavier baseball leaves the classic with a 2-2 record, while Oregon State ran the table and exits without a blemish on its record at 4-0.
