As the college baseball season kicks off elsewhere with the 2025 College Baseball Showdown, the No. 8 Georgia Bulldogs and UNCW Seahawks will face-off twice in a pair of non-conference games on opening weekend in Wilmington, NC. 

The game between the two-time defending Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) champions and a preseason top 10 nationally-ranked team is just one of many great games coming to FloCollege this weekend.

In their preseason poll, coaches across the SEC selected Georgia to finish 6th overall with outfielder Tre Phelps and pitcher Alton Davis II selected for the preseason All-SEC baseball team.

The UNCW Seahawks were predicted by CAA coaches to win the conference once again with eight first-place votes, while junior first baseman Tanner Thach was selected as the CAA Preseason Player of the Year.
