After a week of the most intense tournament, like regular season games, there were plenty of ranking-changing results from the games featuring the top teams.

The top two teams coming into the week, Auburn and Duke, lost tough games against previously No. 6 ranked Florida and now newly No. 23 ranked Clemson.

The SEC continues to represent being the best conference in basketball, with four out of five top teams in this latest Division I men's basketball rankings.

Florida MBB Gets Big Win In Neville Arena

  • Auburn MBB finally took its first conference loss to the Gators after Florida brought it to the Tigers on the road and was in control for most of the game.
  • Florida knocked off a No. 1 team for the second time this season and is the fifth team in AP poll history to do so in a single season.
  • With the win, Florida moved up three spots from last week, bouncing back from the loss to Tennessee, the other No. 1 team they defeated at the beginning of the year.

St. John's Outlasts UConn In Big East Battle

  • The Red Storm took over the two-time defending national champions' home court to start this past weekend with a six-point win.
  • With the loss, the Huskies have finally dropped out of the top 25 rankings, suffering their seventh loss of the year.
  • St. John's men's basketball is now in the top ten for the first time this season at No. 9, the highest AP poll rankings since 2000.

Three New Teams Enter The Mix

  • Michigan, Clemson, and Creighton broke into the top 25 rankings in the last month of the regular season after a few teams suffered losses that caused them to fall.
  • Although the Wolverines had quality conference wins in their own right, Creighton men's basketball defeated ranked Big East member Marquette, and Clemson beat Duke men's basketball, as mentioned earlier.
