How To Watch BYU Vs. Hawai'i At 2025 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic

The BYU and University of Hawai’i at Manoa softball teams may not get much time in the national spotlight, but they’ll have the stage to themselves when they face off at the 2025 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, one of the most prestigious events of the collegiate season.

The two are scheduled to meet Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. Eastern.

The 2025 edition of the Mary Nutter is taking place at the Big League Dreams Complex in Cathedral City, California, from Feb. 20-23.

BYU is coming off a 31-23 (11-16 in conference play) season that ended at the hands of eventual national champion Oklahoma in the semifinals of the 2024 Phillips 66 Big 12 Softball Championship. It was BYU’s first season in the Big 12.

This year got underway at the La Jolla Invitational in La Jolla, California, where the Cougars were 3-0. They defeated UC San Diego, Winthrop and Portland State, while two other games were canceled due to inclement weather.

At the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in 2024, BYU was 4-1.

Hawai’i went 0-5 at the Mary Nutter in 2024, returning to the event after being there each year from 2008-2011.

The season as a whole for the Rainbow Wahine featured a 20-26 record that included a 13-12 performance in Big West play. That latter was good enough for a fourth-place finish in the 10-team conference standings.

Early in the 2025 season, Hawai’i is 4-1 after a successful weekend at the Bank of Hawai’i Paradise Classic in Honolulu.

The 2025 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic will feature 31 teams, headlined by Tennessee, Nebraska and Utah.

About Big League Dreams Cathedral City

The Big League Dreams Sports Parks are scattered throughout the United States and provide recreational and tournament players of all ages the chance to compete on world-class fields, often built as replicas of famous stadiums from the storied history of Major League Baseball.

Along with the nostalgic fields, the Big League Dreams venues include a restaurant and bar, batting cages, play area for children, stadium seating and space for other sports (hockey, soccer, sand volleyball), events and competitions.

Big League Dreams Cathedral City was the first of the eight BLD properties to open, doing so in 1998. The park includes five fields. Among them, Boston’s Fenway Park, Chicago’s Wrigley Field and New York’s Yankee Stadium.
