How To Watch Missouri Vs. Baylor At 2025 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic

Missouri and Baylor both came within a win of advancing to the NCAA Women’s College World Series last season, so they both likely entered the 2025 collegiate softball season feeling as if they had something to prove.

Both also were ranked in the top 20 on the recently released ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25, so there’s no reason to believe their meeting at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic on Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. Eastern won’t be memorable.

The 2025 edition of the Mary Nutter is taking place at the Big League Dreams Complex in Cathedral City, California, from Feb. 20-23.

Missouri has the pleasure – or misfortune – of playing in a stacked Southeastern Conference that landed 11 teams on the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25.

The Tigers definitely will be tested during conference play again this year, but the level of competition most certainly will make them stronger, regardless.

Missouri landed at No. 15 on the aforementioned poll, but that’s 10th among the SEC teams that were selected.

Last season, the Tigers were 48-18 overall but saw their hopes of a WCWS come to an end at the hands of an up-and-coming Duke team at the NCAA Columbia Super Regional.

The Tigers’ new season kicked off at the NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic in Clearwater, Florida, where they were 4-1, with wins over Marshall, Northwestern, Duke and Iowa, along with a loss to Notre Dame.

Baylor is coming off a 36-23 campaign that ended against the University of Florida in the super-regional round of the 2024 NCAA Division I Softball Championship.

Heading into the 2025 season, Baylor was ranked No. 19 on ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25.

The Bears started their campaign at the Aggie Classic in College Station, Texas, where they turned in a 3-2 performance, defeating Abilene Christian, Purdue and Villanova, while falling to Texas A&M and Utah State.

The 2025 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic will feature 31 teams, headlined by Tennessee, Nebraska and Utah.

Along with the nostalgic fields, the Big League Dreams venues include a restaurant and bar, batting cages, play area for children, stadium seating and space for other sports (hockey, soccer, sand volleyball), events and competitions.

Big League Dreams Cathedral City was the first of the eight BLD properties to open, doing so in 1998. The park includes five fields. Among them, Boston’s Fenway Park, Chicago’s Wrigley Field and New York’s Yankee Stadium.
