Noah Lyles Calls Out Tyreek Hill, Wins 60m At New Balance Grand Prix

Noah Lyles did it again. He won the 60m at the New Balance Grand Prix, but he also made headlines after calling out Tyreek Hill immediately following his race.

Lyles got out to a decent start and powered down the stretch in front of a of crowd 4,053. He broke the tape and crossed the line in 6.52 to collect the win over Terrence Jones (Bahamas) and post a season best.

Then, he brought the crowd to a higher decibel. Lyles reached around and tore the bib off his back. He turned it to the cameras, and on the back of the bib read, "Tyreek Could Never."

This is just the latest eye-grabbing escapade for Lyles, as he's found a way to productively stay in the limelight of the sports world.

He recently raced cultural phenom "IShowSpeed" in a 50-meter dash. Lyles won easily, but he left it close enough to explode a social media conversation. Fans unfamiliar with the sport argued that he would lose in a race to Tyreek Hill in a similar race.

That conversation actually began earlier in 2024. Noah Lyles confirmed that he would race Tyreek Hill in 2025. FloTrack broke that story.

Terrence Jones ran a 6.59 for second in the 60m in Boston. Behind him, a pair of Americans finished toe-to-toe -- Travyon Bromell and PJ Austin, who each crossed in 6.624 and 6.626.

Earlier in the evening, Lyles posted a 6.55 to lead the qualifiers out of the preliminary round. Terrence Jones, Trayvon Bromell (USA), PJ Austin (USA) and Udodi Onwuzurike (Nigeria) also qualified for the final.
