The Indiana Hoosiers enter the 2025 season coming off two of their best performances in recent history. Two 40-plus win seasons with NCAA Tournament appearances in each highlight the Hoosiers success in 2023 and 2024.

Prior to the last two years, the Hoosiers had not appeared in the NCAA Regionals since 2011, when the team went 37-18 overall and lost in the first two games of the tournament. Despite also being knocked out in the '23 and '24 Regionals, Indiana Softball has been trending in the right direction.

As they look to claim another NCAA Regional berth this season, the Hoosiers will first look towards the 2025 Puerto Vallarta College Challenge.

The 2025 Puerto Vallarta College Challenge hits the fields on Feb. 6-15 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with Indiana Softball beginning play on Thursday, Feb. 13.

The Hoosiers faced a challenging yet rewarding start in 2024 at the NFCA Leadoff Classic, missing the 2024 Puerto Vallarta Challenge. In their five games, the Hoosiers won four, including a key win over then-No. 15 Oregon, 7-5. Their one loss in the classic came at the hands of then-No. 5 Clemson in a close 3-2 game.
