The Boise State Broncos have had a productive few seasons in the last three years, securing 32 or more wins overall in each season. Their best performance in recent history was their 40-10 season in 2022, followed by two appearances in the Mountain West Championship in 2023 and 2024.

Both years saw the Broncos knocked out of the championships, with San Diego State knocking the Broncos out of the 2024 Mountain West Championship in game 8, 6-3.

The Broncos will face a fresh slate in the 2025 season, with renewed hopes to make the Mountain West Championship beginning in an early-season test of strength at the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge.

The 2025 Puerto Vallarta College Challenge hits the fields on Feb. 6-15 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with Boise State Softball beginning play on Thursday, Feb. 13.

The Broncos began their 2024 season at the Kajikawa Classic rather than the Puerto Vallarta Challenge. They faced five teams in Tempe, Ariz., winning against four of them. Most notably, the Broncos were able to pull off a game 1 upset win over then-No. 20 Northwestern, 4-3.
