On the international stage, Jones has had a a number of clutch games, establishing his ability to work well with Scotland's team. He joined the team in 2016, playing his first game against Australia and scoring two tries in the game.
Despite a close loss, Jones was called back to the team in 2017, starting in the first two games of Scotland's run in the Six Nations that year. He would also play in the Autumn Internationals that year, scoring a try in each of his three matches against the All Blacks, Australia and Samoa.
