As expected, an all-time race occurred at Boston University yet again. 

At tonight's 2025 BU John Thomas Terrier Classic, Whittni Morgan led an onslaught of all-time performances in the women's 5,000m.

Morgan broke away from the pack with just under half of the race remaining. When the pacesetter, Nikki Hiltz, stepped off the track, Morgan stepped on the gas. Her deliberate move would result in a time of 14:48.41, the fourth fastest indoor time in U.S. history.

Morgan surpassed Vanessa Fraser, who previously held the spot with a time of 14:48.51 from 2020.

Behind her, Nike's Ella Donaghu finished in second with a 14:50.89. That time also had historic implications, landing as the eighth fastest time in U..S indoor history.

When you think it ends there, it doesn't.

Bailey Hertenstein (NIke) finished in third with a 14:56.33 which would have previously been a U.S. No. 11 all-time performance.

Lexy Hallady-Lowry (BYU) finished in fourth, but shattered the 15-minute barrier in the process. Her 14:57.63 is an NCAA No. 5 all-time performance. She sits as the No. 4 all-time performer, as Parker Valby has two times on the Top 5 all-time list.

She is just the latest NCAA star to etch her name into the history books at BU. In December, at the BU Season Opener, Doris Lemngole (Alabama) broke Parker Valby's 5,000m indoor record. She ran a 14:52.57, and narrowly held off Hilda Olemomoi's (Florida) 14:52.84.
