As it stands, prior to competition, South Africa, Ireland, New Zealand, France and Argentina occupy the top five spots. With the South Hemisphere teams not competing until the summer, the Six Nations offers a great chance for Ireland and France to jump up in the standings.
Scotland, England, Italy and Wales stand at No. 6, No. 7, No. 10 and No. 11, respectively.
Scotland hasn't won a Six Nations title since the last year of Five Nations in 1999. England and Wales won in 2020 and 2021, and Italy has never achieved the feat.
Looking elsewhere, Georgia is the top team in the Rugby Europe competition at No. 12, but Portugal and Spain aren't far behind at No. 16 and No. 18.
Georgia has won seven consecutive Rugby Europe Championship titles across various formats and has secured a total of 16 titles since 2000.
The Rugby Europe Championship 2025 will be broadcast on FloRuby and the FloSports app in the United States.
