Oklahoma State Softball, a Women's College World Series participant, will open its season by playing in the 2025 Puerto Vallarta College Challenge from Feb. 6-8, the first session.

The last time the Cowgirls participated in the Challenge was in 2023, when two players (Lexi Kilfoyl and Tallen Edwards) received All-Tournament honors, and pitcher Kelly Maxwell won a share of Tournament MVP.

Oklahoma State enters the season ranked No. 4 in the preseason rankings. The Cowgirls hope to complete the job of winning a national championship after failing to advance from the first bracket of the college world series.

Competing in this challenge against No. 12 Florida State to open and close their portion of the tournament will be a great test of that mission for the Cowgirls.
